These stunning charcoal grey water jugs have an unglazed polished finish and look fantastic on your table or kitchen surface. Part of the Mr & Mrs range, each jug is handmade in England and individually slipcast from vitrified earthenware before being polished to give a smooth pebbly finish. The clay is fired to a high temperature until it is vitrified and no longer porous, giving it a stone like quality. The Mr & Mrs Water Jugs are truly beautiful and the smooth matt finish makes them very tactile. They also make a great gift for a birthday, wedding or anniversary. The jugs hold just over 3 pints or 1.5litres and so they will keep the table well hydrated whether used for juice or milk at breakfast, water at lunch or your favourite cocktail in the evening. Designed by Sue Pryke each jug is individually made and so there will be slight changes in each piece and slight colour variations, which is indicative of the material and the hand made processes. Sue Pryke is a British homeware designer who has designed her own tableware collection after having had a successful career which has involved collaborations with the likes of Virgin Atlantic, John Lewis and Marks and Spencer's.
