Chroma Speckled Salad Bowl - Orange by Casa Cubista

The Chroma Speckled Salad Bowl is a large handmade terracotta salad bowl that has been hand painted with a fantastic orange speckled pattern creating a beautiful and practical salad bowl. With a diameter of 26cm and height of 8cm, this large, deep bowl can be used as both a salad bowl or serving bowl. Whether it be used for serving large salads to family and friends or to serve other sharing dishes, the large bowl will add plenty of character to your table setting.

Designed by Casa Cubista, Chroma is a bold and colourful tableware collection that brings together traditional craftsmanship with modern designs. The ceramics range is all made in the coastal town of Olhao in Portugal by a family that been in the pottery business for 200 years. Ruis throws the pottery on his wheel before it is hand painted by his aunt Regina. 

This large colourful salad bowl with two tones of orange spatter makes a nice change to the more muted tones and simple designs usually seen in tableware. Before first use, wash the bowl with hot soapy water, rinse well and allow to air dry. To maintain the integrity of the bowl (i.e. glaze and colour) it is not recommended that it is used in a dishwasher or microwave. As each piece is handmade there may be slight changes in each piece and slight colour variations, which is indicative of the material and the handmade process. Some marks in the glaze are natural and expected, as is some crazing. This will not affect the use or durability of the bowl.
