Bajouca Terracotta Carafe by Vicara

The Bajouca carafe instantly caught our eye with its beautiful shape and the stunning colour of the terracotta. This simple handmade terracotta carafe is perfect for water or wine, with the naturally cooling properties of terracotta helping to keep your water or wine cooler. The fantastic carafe was designed in Portugal by Luis Nascimento and forms part of a collection of products made for the table called Tasco. The Tasco collection draws inspiration from traditional Portuguese pottery and gastronomic culture. Practical and beautiful, each carafe is individually made by hand and glazed on the inside and the top section of the exterior, which creates a very aesthetically appealing contrast and helps protect the terracotta. The carafe stands at 22cm tall and can hold 0.75 litres so will give you quite a few glasses. This truly beautiful carafe sits perfectly amongst other original designs in our tableware collection. As each carafe is individually made there may well be slight changes in each piece and slight colour variations, which is indicative of the material and the handmade process.
