Double Arch Platter - Black by Casa Cubista

The Double Arch Platter is a terracotta serving platter hand painted with a striking double arch geometric design. The large plate measures 40cm in diameter making it an ideal serving platter for big meals with family and friends or to serve large salads and other dishes. The platter will add something unique and special to the table setting and when it is not needed to serve your culinary delights, it makes a beautiful feature display whether on your table, kitchen island or elsewhere in the house.

Designed by Casa Cubista, Chroma is a bold and colourful tableware collection that brings together traditional craftsmanship with contemporary designs. The ceramics range is all made in the coastal town of Olhao in Portugal by a family that been in the pottery business for 200 years. Ruis throws the pottery on his wheel before it is hand painted by his aunt Regina.

The fun and contemporary patterns of the Chroma tableware make a nice change to the more standard designs usually seen in tableware. Before first use, wash the bowl with hot soapy water, rinse well and allow to air dry. To maintain the integrity of the bowl (i.e. glaze and colour) it is not recommended that it is used in a dishwasher or microwave. As each piece is handmade there may be slight changes in each piece and slight colour variations, which is indicative of the material and the handmade process. Some marks in the glaze are natural and expected, as is some crazing. This will not affect the use or durability of the bowl.
