Chroma Speckled Mug - Green by Casa Cubista

The Chroma mugs are distinctive hand thrown terracotta mugs. Made in a traditional way on a pottery wheel by Portuguese craftsmen, the mugs are then finished in a contemporary style with a crisp white glaze being hand painted in green spatter. The result is a fantastic, bright and uplifting artisan mug that will look fantastic in your kitchen or on your table, adding a stylish and contemporary feel. Each mug is unique and is sure to help make your cups of tea or coffee an even more special and cheerful occasion. 

Designed by Casa Cubista, a company passionate about contemporary design, craftsmanship and Portuguese heritage. The ceramics range is all made in the coastal town of Olhao in Portugal by a family that been in the pottery business for 200 years. Ruis throws the pottery on his wheel before it is hand painted by his aunt Regina. Bold and colourful, the Chroma collection makes a nice change to the more muted tones and simple designs usually seen in tableware. 

Before first use, wash the mugs with hot soapy water, rinse well and allow to air dry. To maintain the integrity of the mugs (i.e. glaze and colour) it is not recommended that the mug is used in a dishwasher or microwave. As each piece is handmade there may be slight changes in each piece and slight colour variations, which is indicative of the material and the handmade process. Some marks in the glaze are natural and expected, as is some crazing. This will not affect the use or durability of the pieces.
