The captivating Voronoi II LED Bulb is a showstopper! A foot in length, this beautiful light bulb makes a real impact and produces a mesmerising glow. The bulb has an organic form inspired by the voronoi pattern found in the forest canopy and throughout nature. Tala, the designers of this low energy bulb, introduced a singular spiral of LED filament to mimic the Fibonacci sequence seen in pine cones and ferns. The result is a mouth blown, low energy bulb carved by nature. Whilst low energy bulbs are more expensive to buy, Tala bulbs are 90% more efficient than traditional incandescent lighting and have a minimum life span of 20,000 hours (i.e. 6.85 years at 8 hours a day). More than just a bulb, the dimmable Voronoi bulbs are a statement light fixture in themselves and are perfect for use above kitchen counters or as bedside, hallway and sitting room pendants, they can also be used as either a single light or in clusters and go very well with our brass pendant. The elongated form and droplet shape of this designer bulb refracts the singular filament contained within it, giving a multitude of perspectives from different angles. Tala is a young British lighting brand with a mission to create exquisite products and accelerate the low carbon economy with thoughtful product design and transparent practices. As well as implementing the latest energy-saving technology, which means that you will get a return on your investment in under 1 year, Tala champion materials and techniques that have minimal impact on the environment. From the outset the company established a Ten Trees programme, a commitment to plant 10 trees for every 200 products sold. Although their products are fundamentally sustainable, they wanted to ensure that the business as a whole is carbon-neutral. To do this, Tala have partnered with The Heart of England Forest to build and protect a vast new unbroken woodland in the middle of England. To date they have contributed to the planting of 9,000 trees and are well on the way to reach their target of 35,000 trees by April 2018.
